Q. How do I send and receive faxes with my Fax Adapter?
A. Simply connect a phone cord from your fax machine to the Fax Adapter and connect the Fax Adapter to the Internet through your router or switch. The intelligent Fax Adapter connects automatically to FaxLogic, and you are ready to send and receive faxes. More importantly, your fax machine works the same as it did before!
Q. How do I send and receive faxes with a computer?
A. You can send and receive faxes using e-mail or FaxLogic's Advanced Web Client. To send a fax using e-mail, attach one or more printable documents to an e-mail message and send it to the special e-mail address provided with your account for this purpose. To receive faxes using e-mail, configure your FaxLogic account with the e-mail addresses you want to receive your faxes, and FaxLogic will do the rest. To send a fax in your browser, login to the Advanced Web Client, create your fax using the online tools, then click Send. Inbound faxes appear automatically the Inbox or other folder configured in your FaxLogic account for this purpose.
Q. What is the Advanced Web Client?
A. FaxLogic's Advanced Web Client is a web browser application that lets you send, receive, sort, store, manage and share all your faxes, documents and files online. In addition, account administrators can use the Advanced Web Client to manage your FaxLogic account configuration and settings. The Advanced Web Client is platform-independent and works equally well in Windows, Mac and Linux environments. The intuitive user interface is easy to learn and easy to use, and it delivers power-user features with a familiar desktop software experience. With FaxLogic's Advanced Web Client, you can manage all your fax communications using a web browser anytime, anywhere.
Q. Which web browsers are compatible with the Advanced Web Client?
A. FaxLogic supports the Advanced Web Client with Chrome 11 and above, FireFox 3 and above, Internet Explorer 7 and above, and Safari 4 and above.
Q. Does FaxLogic work the same on Windows, Mac and Linux?
A. Yes. The Advanced Web Client fully supports Windows, Mac and Linux environments using Chrome, FireFox, Internet Explorer and Safari web browsers.
Q. If I use Fax-to-Email, do I need the Advanced Web Client?
A. You can send and receive faxes using Fax-to-Email only, if you prefer; however, the Advanced Web Client is required to manage your FaxLogic account configuration and settings.
Q. How do I save my faxes?
A. Most FaxLogic plans store your inbound and outbound faxes online. You can view, print and download these faxes using the Advanced Web Client. Faxes delivered to you by e-mail are standard PDF or TIFF file attachments, which you can save to your local computer using your e-mail client. "Fax Line Replacement" plans only transmit faxes to and from your fax machine. These faxes are not stored online and cannot be saved.
Q. What kind of files can I fax?
A. You can fax most Microsoft Office documents directly, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher files. FaxLogic also supports Adobe PDF documents and images, including BMP, GIF, JPEG, PNG and TIFF files. With FaxLogic, any document that can be printed also can be faxed.
Q. How many pages can I send in one fax?
A. By default, you can send up to 100 pages in one fax. Contact us if you need a higher limit.

A. By default, you can send any number of documents, up to 100 total pages, in one fax. Contact us if you need a higher limit.
Q. Can I send a fax to multiple recipients at one time?
A. Yes. With FaxLogic, you can send a fax to up to fifty (50) recipients at one time.
Q. How many faxes can I send at one time?
A. FaxLogic does not limit how many faxes you can send at one time.
Q. If I am sending or receiving a fax, what happens to other incoming faxes?
A. With FaxLogic, your fax number is never busy. You continue to receive faxes even while sending or receiving other faxes.
Q. Can I preview my fax before I send it?
A. Yes. The Advanced Web Client uses Live Preview™ to display your fax as you build it.
Q. What if I want to save a fax composition for later use?
A. Using the Advanced Web Client, FaxLogic lets you save draft faxes. Later, these drafts can be opened, edited and sent.
Q. Will there be quality issues when re-sending or forwarding faxes?
A. No. Faxes can be sent, re-sent, forwarded, downloaded and printed with no image degradation.
Q. Can I upload and store high-resolution color images from my scanner?
A. Yes, you can upload, store, manage and share all of your documents, files and images, using the Advanced Web Client.
Q. Can I store more than faxes in my archive?
A. Yes, you can upload, store, manage and share all of your documents, files and images, using the Advanced Web Client.
Q. How many faxes can I save in my archive?
A. This depends on the size of your archive. Each gigabyte stores approximately 12,000 fax pages.
Q. Can I have more than one user?
A. Yes. With any FaxLogic Multi-User plan, you can add as many users to your account as you need.
Q. Can I control access to files and folders?
A. Yes. Your account administrators control who can access and modify the files and folders in your account.
Q. Are my faxes secure?
A. Yes. FaxLogic stores all user data and files using secure 128-bit AES encryption or optional high-security 256-bit AES encryption. In addition, all traffic between the Advanced Web Client and FaxLogic uses encrypted Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) connections.
Q. Is FaxLogic compliant with industry regulations for legal, medical and financial institutions?
A. FaxLogic uses the highest levels of security and encryption available, to protect data at-rest and in-transit. FaxLogic leads the industry for true end-to-end fax security, which enables government, education, legal, medical and financial institutions to maintain compliance with HIPAA, GLBA and other industry regulations.
Q. What page sizes can I send and receive?
A. FaxLogic supports standard page sizes, including US Letter, US Legal and A4.
Q. Do I need to upgrade my hardware?
A. No. FaxLogic supports all standard fax machines, computers, scanners, multi-function printers and web-enabled mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets. With FaxLogic, no hardware upgrades are required.
Q. Will I ever need to upgrade my software?
A. No. With FaxLogic, there is no software to purchase, download or maintain. FaxLogic's Advanced Web Client is platform-independent and runs in any standard web browser.
Q. My Fax Adapter stopped working. What should I do?
A. Check that your Fax Adapter has power, check that all the cables are connected, and check that your Internet connection is working properly, then try your fax again. If you still have a problem, disconnect the power supply for thirty (30) seconds, then reconnect the power. When the Fax Adapter restarts, it connects automatically to FaxLogic. After thirty (30) more seconds, try your fax again. If your Fax Adapter still does not function properly, contact us for support.
Q. I think I found a bug in the Advanced Web Client. How do I report it?
A. Please contact us with a detailed message describing your findings. We will investigate the issue and respond promptly.
